James Stewart is Chairman of KPMG’s Global Infrastructure practice responsible for providing advice to Governments and private sector companies across the infrastructure spectrum. In the last six months James has visited some 25 countries to discuss their infrastructure investment plans.

James Stewart is Chairman of KPMG’s Global Infrastructure practice responsible for providing advice to Governments and private sector companies across the infrastructure spectrum. In the last six months James has visited some 25 countries to discuss their infrastructure investment plans.
Prior to joining KPMG, James was Chief Executive of Infrastructure UK and before that Chief Executive of Partnerships UK for ten years. Previous to these appointments, James spent fourteen years at Hambros and Société Generale. His final position was Managing Director, Project Finance, and the Global Head of Infrastructure and Environment.
James has been involved in the infrastructure sector for nearly twenty years. In December 2010 James was responsible for the publication of the first UK National Infrastructure Plan. He has played a senior role on many of the major infrastructure programmes in the UK including Crossrail, M25, Olympics and Allenby Connaught. He has also acted as an international ambassador for the UK PFI/PPP market and providing strategic advice to Governments across the world on the establishment of PPP programmes
