The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra has established itself as one of the leading orchestras in Asia, with a busy annual season of concerts and community-engagement activities. As the head of a team of four, the position reports to the Chief Executive and works closely with members of the Fundraising Committee and the senior management team. The major role of the Development Department is to generate fundraising income which currently represents about 30% of the orchestra's annual budget.

Main Duties:
•soliciting concert and education-project sponsorship
•securing more general large-scale, long-term funding
•cultivating individual donations to the organisation
•overseeing special fundraising events and galas
•attracting support for other HKPO activities as required (recordings, tours, etc.)
•maintaining excellent relationships with the Board, sponsors and other supportive bodies

Attributes:
•highly-motivated and creative person with excellent connections in the Hong Kong business circles and community
•well-experienced in public relations, marketing, or fundraising with at least 5 years in a senior position
•excellent communication skills in English, with Cantonese an advantage
•pleasant personality with good negotiation skills
•interest in and knowledge of western classical music an advantage
